On Thursday, May 2nd, Apple Valley High School's lacrosse teams will be hosting their first home game of the season. The community, as well as players and parents from Valley Athletic Association (VAA) are invited to attend this FREE event as the Eagles play Lakeville South. Highlights:
1. Carbone's will be presenting a check for $1,000 to the AVLax Boosters to support the Eagle Spirit Initiative program, which is designed to bring lacrosse to kids who might not otherwise play it while encouraging current players to become involved in the community. The grant will be used to purchase 5 sets of boys' equipment and 5 sets of girls' equipment.
2. A bald eagle from the Raptor Center will be at the game to celebrate the Eagles and Eagle Spirit.

Lacrosse is a sport based on a belief in respect and integrity. Although it's hard-hitting and very fast, players understand that respecting the rules, officials, coaches, opponents, teammates and themselves is a priority.
