The Race for Grace is a fundraising event that was made in honor of Grace Nelson due to her diagnosis of rhabdomyosarcoma cancer (a rare soft tissue cancer) in January 2009. At the event, there is a 5K (3.1 miles) and a 1 mile race. ALL proceeds from the event are donated to the Karen Wyckoff Rein in Sarcoma Foundation for sarcoma cancer research support and education! All ages, strollers, and pets (as long as you clean up after them) are welcome!
In 2 years, Race for Grace has raised a total of over $57,000 for Rein in Sarcoma! Help us bring that number up even higher this year!
The Race for Grace 2011 will take place on Saturday, August 6th at Eastview High School. Check in will begin at 9:00am, the 1 mile race will begin at 10:00am, and the 5K race will begin at 10:15am. Hope you can make it!
