'The Grinch Who Stole Christmas' Stolen From Apple Valley Yard

The decoration — which features all the tender sweetness of a seasick crocodile — went missing just days into the holiday season.

APPLE VALLEY, MN — He's as cuddly as a cactus, as charming as an eel, he's a bad banana with a greasy black peel. But if you see a "Grinch" decoration around town, be sure to contact Josh Strohman.

The one set up in front of his Apple Valley home went missing this week. While most people wouldn't touch the Grinch with a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole, one local thief had no issue taking the green monster with garlic in his soul for his own.

Strohman says regardless if his life-sized decoration returns, he won't let the Grinch-thief steal his holiday joy.

"After hearing how many people enjoy seeing him out and looked forward to what he would be stealing from the yard each year there is no way I can let this thief bring the neighborhood down," he wrote on Facebook.

Perhaps the thief will learn the true meaning of Christmas, and will have their heart grow three sizes this day.

"I don't know if he will make a new appearance this year but he will be back, in the meantime I have brought a little humor to the yard with the hope that person responsible will drive by again to see the addition."
