Rosemount Baseball Beats Lakeville South 6-4
Irish win a close game after scoring two runs in the sixth inning
It was a back-and-forth battle all evening as the Rosemount baseball team took on Lakeville South on Monday, but the Irish held on for a 6-4 victory in South Suburban Conference play.
Rosemount got the scoring going quickly, getting runs in the first and second innings, going 2-0 at the end of the second. But it didn't take long for the Cougars to respond; they scored two runs in the third and two more in the fourth, making it 4-2.
In the bottom of the fourth, the Irish responded with two more runs of their own, bringing the score to 4-4.

The Irish looked to take the lead in the fifth inning, with runners on second and third with two outs. But pitcher Matt Erdal would get the third out on a called strike three.
The Irish took advantage of a sixth inning opportunity; with bases loaded and two outs, Lucas Haase hit a line-drive to the outfield that brought in two runs for the Irish to take the lead and the win at 6-4.
