Things looked good as the Irish faced off against the Eden Prairie Eagles on Thursday afternoon: Rosemount got the game going by scoring two early runs in the first inning.
And they held the lead right up until the fifth inning, when the Eagles got the bats going with two outs, scoring all four of their runs to take the lead.
The Irish closed the gap to one run in the sixth inning, but weren't able to catch up. With two outs in the seventh, the Irish would be caught trying to steal second after what seemed to be a great opportunity from a bubbled ball from the catcher.
