Irish Take Seventh At State Swim Meet
Rosemount tallies 127 points in Class AA championship round on Saturday night.
The Rosemount boys swimming and diving team closed out its 2010-11 season with a seventh-place finish at the Class AA championship meet on Saturday night at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center.
Irish swimmers competed in the championship heat in all three relays on the evening, with the 200-yard medley relay quartet of Braden McCormack, Jacob Stern, Luke Dowell and Conor Manning opening the meet with a second-place finish of 1 minute, 35.46 seconds.
Rosemount 200-yard freestyle relay foursome of Dowell, Manning, Stern and Baker took fifth in 1:27.59, with the 400-yard freestyle relay squad of Baker, Manning, Baker and Sheldon Hatlen taking seventh in 3:14.56.

Individually, Rosemount was represented in the championship heat on Saturday in one event as Stern earned All-American consideration in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 58.20.
