Letter to the Editor: Vote for Wilfahrt

To the editor,

As the parent of four graduates of the local public school system, I am profoundly grateful to the teachers and administration who helped them to find their path into higher learning. A good education, I believe, leads to better-paying jobs and, more importantly, a career that fulfills them and gives them a purpose in life.

When members of the legislature confiscate funds from the schools in order to balance the budget, they plunder this state's future and the future of every Minnesota child. They ignore the fact that good companies are attracted to a well-educated workforce. Good companies will provide good benefits and a good wage to our children. A good wage will provide not only a decent standard of living, but those in turn will be able to buy homes and services in our communities.

Jeff Wilfahrt, candidate for the Minnesota House of Representatives, saw his own three children through the local schools. He understands the importance of a good education, both for his children's future and for the state's.

Jeff worked at 3M, a Minnesota company, for 15 years and now manages his own private software business. He understands how to balance a budget, and when elected, he will work to balance the state's budget in a fair and reasonable way that will help to build this state's future, not borrow against it.

I support Jeff Wilfahrt as candidate for the Minnesota House of Representatives 57B, for the future of everyone's children.
