PHOTOS: Reinforced Graduates Win Irish Alumni Game

Former Rosemount players hold on to defeat current team, 9-8, in annual girls hockey game.

Holding on against a late rally, the Rosemount girls hockey alumni won the game which holds their namesake, 9-8, over the current Irish pucksters on Sunday morning at the Community Center Ice Arena.

After playing the first period with just six players, the alums were bolstered with an infusion of competitors from the prospective 2011-12 squad for the final two frames.

The elder Irish took a six goal lead in the contest, before the younger side battled back to nearly tie the game before the final horn blew to signal the one-goal victory for the reinforced graduates.
