APPLE VALLEY, MN — A Minneapolis police rookie living in Apple Valley is facing a felony-level threat charge after authorities said he threatened to shoot his wife. On or about Aug. 2, an Apple Valley police officer responded to the 12000 block of Glenbrook Way, Apple Valley on a report of a past action domestic assault.

Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the woman, who reported that she had gotten into an argument the evening before with her husband, Ahmed Jama, 19. On Aug. 1 at about 11 p.m., Jama returned home and got into an argument with his wife, during which he threatened her, stating that he would shoot her in the head and get away with it, police claim.

The woman reported being afraid of him and not feeling safe. Jama had never threatening her like that before, according to the criminal complaint.
