Rosemount Budget Approved: Property Tax to Increase
The Rosemount City Council approved next year's final budget Wednesday night, including an increase in the city's property tax levy.

The Rosemount City Council approved next year’s final budget Wednesday night, including an increase in the city’s property tax levy of 3.5 percent. The increase on a home at the median value in Rosemount, which is $250,700, will be $18 for the year.
The new level will be $71 less than the tax on the median-valued home in the city in 2008, according to a news release.
Additional fees collected by the city related to development are projected to help offset increased personnel costs. The city is adding three new positions to improve efficiency in the parks and recreation, police, and public works departments.
