Rosemount Falls At Eagan In Legion Baseball Matchup
Visitors take early lead before losing 3-2 to Patriots on Monday night.
The Rosemount American Legion baseball team fell just short at Eagan on Monday night, losing 3-2 in a showdown between neighboring squads.
Rosemount starting pitcher Mo Valenzuela scored his team's first run of the game on a wild pitch in the second inning as the visitors held the 1-0 edge until the fourth, when Eagan pushed across a pair of tallies to take a 2-1 advantage.
Chris Leske tied the score at 2-2 after he singled and scored on an error in the top of the fifth, yet Eagan netted what would become the game-winning run in the bottom of the frame to claim the one-run victory.
