Rosemount High Football Program Launches New Web Site
The new site will offer fans a chance to watch games online.

The Rosemount Irish football program will soon have a new online presence. The Irish have partnered with local company TST Media and its Sports NGIN content management system to produce the new website. An early look at the new site can be seen by clicking here (www.rosemountfootball.com.prod.ngin.com/).
The new website will encompass Rosemount's entire program – from youth football through Rosemount High.
"I think the site looks really nice and is very user-friendly" RHS head coach Jeff Erdmann said. "From our youth football teams all the way up through our varsity team, we can upload rosters, photos and other information easily."

Erdmann said one of the main focuses of the site is to pull all the programs in the Irish football program together.
"We're always trying to bring the program all together on the same page, from the third-grade teams all the way up through the varsity," Erdmann said. "With this one website, we can share calendars, keep better track of meetings really bring the Irish Football Nation together in one spot.

In addition to a cleaner, new website with a state-of-the-art content management system, the Irish are hoping to generate some revenue with the new website as well. Fund-raising is difficult in this day and age. Donor fatigue and a poor economy are major contributors to this problem. Advertising is a previously untapped avenue to open new revenue streams.
"We are hoping to generate income from advertising sales via the new website," Erdmann said.
Michael Manning, Rosemount High Director of Athletics, believes the website has the potential to be a huge benefit to the Irish program.
"I think it's certainly the wave of the future," Manning said. "It's outside-the-box thinking and I think Jeff's pretty cutting edge and is doing good things with the site. With the plan to video stream all our games and as internet-ready televisions become more common, it will generate even more interest in the website. When someone can sit down and watch our high school games on their television, that should allow them to generate even more revenue."
There are possibilities to raise more money and add more bells and whistles to a slick, new website. But in doing so, there is a need for manpower.
"With the new website and opportunities it brings we will need additional help," Erdmann said. "We have a booster club with 20 members and it is a year-round commitment. They do a phenomenal job. This is a big-time football program and we have a lot of wonderful people who are putting their strengths and contributions into it."
With the advertising component and an initiative to video stream all games from Grade 9 and above, the Irish are looking for volunteers to fill a few newly created positions. Erdmann said they are looking for a website advertising technology and sales coordinator, a web administrator assistant and a video streaming coordinator.
The website advertising technology and sales coordinator will work in conjunction with Irish Football Booster Club's board members, who have been selling ads and sponsorships in the past years. Interested volunteers with expertise in this area, can contact Booster Club President Chris O’Brien at chrismobrien@comcast.net.
The program has a website administrator on board already. But that post is held by the parent of a junior in the program. Erdmann is looking to groom a new website administrator with the web administrator assistant position. Ideally, the Booster Club would like to find the parent of a player who is in the youth, middle school or freshman program, so the assistant could slide into the administrator role in the future. The Sports NGIN tool is very intuitive and user-friendly. Interested parties can contact Judy Neudecker at jwilber@frontiernet.net or 612-839-0740.
With the website, the potential is there to stream each game, as well as archiving them for future viewing. This position would coordinate camera crews and instruct them on the technical aspects of streaming the game to the internet. Coach Erdmann is the contact for this position. He can be reached at jeff.erdmann@district196.org.
