Rosemount city officials are looking for residents who want to help make this year's election a fair one by working as an election judge.

Election judges are responsible for the administration of election procedures in the polling place and help guarantee the rights of voters are protected on election day.

Any person who resides in and is eligible to vote in the state where they serve is eligible to be an election judge.

Judges must state a political party affiliation, if they have one, and no more than half the judges in a precinct may belong to the same major political party.

Judges are paid for their training and their work on Election Day. Full and half-day shifts are available, according to a news release.
