Watch Live Stream: Vice Presidential Debate Features Mike Pence and Tim Kaine Interrupting Each Other
Watch the live stream of the vice presidential debate between Mike Pence and Tim Kaine right here Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. EST.
FARMVILLE, VA — Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence and Democratic nominee Tim Kaine faced off Tuesday night in the one and only vice presidential debate — and right from the outset the two No. 2 men on the tickets went after each other, talking over each other, interrupting and ignoring the moderator's attempts to keep them on track.
"You are truly Donald Trump's apprentice," Kaine said to Pence.
Pence, much like Trump, made faces and shook his head as Kaine spoke, and he criticized Kaine's "canned" insults.

Hillary Clinton and Kaine "want to run this country into the ground," Pence said.
"Gentlemen, the people at home can't understand either one of you when you talk over each other like this," moderator Elaine Quijano said.

Vice presidential nominees — and their debates — rarely have a major impact on the outcomes of the general election. But with the favorability numbers so low for Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, both Pence and Kaine have worked hard on the campaign trail to make their running mates more likable, and that's likely the goal of each of the veep nominees in the debate.
How many people will watch? The first 2016 debate last Monday between Clinton and Trump broke previous records by bringing in 84 million viewers, according to Nielsen. It's hard to imagine they will get anywhere near that for Pence and Kaine.
