Rosemount senior Sam Reber finished up the first day of the Class AAA state boys golf tournament tied for 46th place overall.
Reber is tied with two other golfers in 46th place after 18 holes at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids. His first-round score of 79 is nine shots off the pace. Forest Lake’s Max Kelly currently sits alone in fist with a round of 70.
On the girls side, Rosemount senior Betsy Wallin finished with an 88 on the day, good for at tie for 37th place. Teammate Molly Flynn also finished with an 88 and a tie for 37th place. New Prague freshman McKenzie Neisen, who leads the tournament with a 71.
