Rosemount Wrestler Jackson Squares Off Against Apple Valley's McCauley in State Finals
The 152-pound AAA wrestling final match takes place at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Rosemount wrestling junior Adam Jackson is one win away from a state championship.
Jackson rolled through Friday and Saturday's Class AAA 152-pound individual state tournament at the Xcel Energy Center. He'll now face off against the one wrestler he struggled against this season: Apple Valley's Destin McCauley.
The Rosemount junior defeated Willmar’s Coty Milhusen 10-7 before beating White Bear Lake’s Cody Anderson 7-1 in Friday's tourney action.
Saturday morning he bested Cambridge-Isanti’s Cody Glines 9-6 in the championship semifinals. Jackson now faces four-time state champion Destin McCauley in the championship match. The duo squares-off in the finals at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
