"Unfortunately since the driver fled the scene his insurance will not cover all of his medical expenses or missed work. He will be out of work for 6 weeks and his bike is a loss."

“The driver had an obligation to stay at the scene until the authorities arrived,” said Scott County Sheriff Luke Hennen in a statement. “Everyone on the road has a responsibility to drive safely and nobody deserves to be abandoned on the side of the road with injuries.”

Allina Ambulance and the Prior Lake Fire Department assisted in responding to the crash. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating this case.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (952) 496-8132.
