State Girls Hockey Tournament Brackets Released: Rosemount vs. Edina

It's going to be Rosemount vs. Edina in the first round of the Girls Class AA state tourney.

The Irish girls are seeded #7  in the tourney and face off at 11:00 a.m. Thursday against #2 seed Edina.

Here is the rundown of the Class AA games, all of which take place at the Xcel Energy Center.

First Round (Thurs.)

11:00 a.m. Edina (#2) vs. Rosemount (#7)

1:00 p.m. Lakeville South (#3) vs. Hill Murray (#6)

The winner of the two early games will face off against each other in a semi-final game at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The losers face off at either 10:00 a.m. or noon Feb. 25 at Ridder Arena.

6:00 p.m. Minnetonka (#1) vs. Elk River-Zimmerman (#8)

8:00 p.m. Coon Rapids (#4)  vs. North Wright City (#5)

The winner of the two later games will face off against each other in a semi-final game Friday at 8:00 p.m.

The state finals game takes place Saturday at 8:00 p.m.

TICKET INFO:
* Since Rosemount is playing an early game on Thurs.,  the school administration will announce next week how to return a permission slip to receive an excused absence for any student. 

* Ticket prices will be $17 for adults  and $11 for students. A fan bus ticket will cost $5.

* Tickets will be sold to the public in the . They will be available 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tues. and 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Weds. Students will be able to buy game tickets and bus tickets next Tuesday and Wednesday during their lunch periods.

*Advance ticket sales will end Weds. at 1:00 p.m.
