School is out, and Apple Valley police typically see an uptick in crime in the summer months.

APPLE VALLEY, MN — The Apple Valley Police Department said Tuesday it has seen an increase in the number of reported thefts from vehicles. School is out, and police typically see an uptick in crime in the summer months.
Authorities are asking motorists to be aware of the consequences of leaving valuables in your vehicle. Whether it's parked at a local business or in your driveway over night, police say it's best to remove valuables and garage door openers so the casual potential thieves out roaming will not target you.
