Johnson and incumbent Brad Finstad’s camp outlined contrasting views on federal and state roles, as districts including Austin weigh levies and tough choices on staffing, taxes, and services.

Mower County floods prompt push for farm erosion fixes (kimt.com) — After repeated flooding east of Austin, local watersheds and farms are seeing serious erosion, and Mower SWCD is urging affected landowners to pursue grassed waterways, berms, and cost-share funding. With multi-hit, multi-RBI performances and strong pitching, the longtime local squad rallied from an early deficit to finish the game in eight innings.

Three Vehicle Freeway Pile-up in Construction Zone Near Clearwater (krwc1360.com) — An Austin man driving a semi was uninjured in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in a construction zone on I-94 near Clearwater. State Patrol reports a Hyundai SUV rear-ended a stopped Subaru, pushing it into the Austin driver’s Peterbilt truck. One St. Cloud driver had minor injuries, while Wright County deputies, MnDOT, and Mayo EMS responded.
