• Fire starts north of North Arm Road, burns 30 acres (elyecho.com) — A wildfire north of North Arm Road near Burntside Lake burned about 30 acres of U.S. Forest Service land Monday afternoon, drawing a major response that included the Babbitt Fire Department. Aircraft and helicopters helped contain the blaze, no structures were lost, and federal crews will keep monitoring the area while the cause remains under investigation.
