• Charges: Bemidji teen shot parents, bystander after phone was taken away (kstp.com) — Bemidji residents should know a 16-year-old local boy faces serious assault charges after three people, including his parents, were shot outside a townhome on Itasca Loop Northwest on May 7. All victims were stabilized, and a hearing later this month will determine whether he’s tried as an adult.

• Carr medals as Flyers share Deacon's Lodge title (hometownsource.com) — Bemidji High School’s boys golf team tied Little Falls for the team title at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Deacon’s Lodge, both shooting 323 in a tight 10-team field. Little Falls’ Peyton Carr earned medalist honors with a 75, edging Staples-Motley’s Jackson White by one stroke.
