• Nominations Open for Wright County Outstanding Senior Citizen (krwc1360.com) — Nominations are now open to honor one man and one woman as Wright County’s 2026 Outstanding Senior Citizen, with mailed applications going to a Buffalo address. Seniors who volunteer and go above and beyond in the community are eligible, and completed forms are due by June 20. Winners will be recognized during Senior Citizen Day at the Wright County Fair on July 24. 
• Minnesota charges could be dropped against Chilcote (gazettextra.com) — Minnesota prosecutors based in Buffalo say they’ll drop local fleeing and assault charges against homicide suspect Robert Chilcote if he’s convicted in a Marinette County, Wisconsin murder case. Chilcote was arrested in Wright County after an alleged multi-state flight and remains scheduled for August hearings in both Wisconsin and Minnesota.
