The Minnesota Board on Aging and the Own Your Future initiative will be at the Minnesota State Fair this year with helpful info on aging.

The Minnesota Board on Aging and the Own Your Future initiative will again be at the Minnesota State Fair this year with helpful information on aging, including planning for long-term services and supports many Minnesotans will need as they age.

“Medicare-on-a-Stick” will be the theme for the board’s Education Building booth, which will have staff knowledgeable about Medicare, drug plans, aging in place, preventing senior fraud and abuse and other topics of interest to older adults and their family members.

Own Your Future, an initiative of the Minnesota Department of Human Services and other state agencies, will also be at the Education Building booth conducting a survey of how fairgoers are planning to pay for long-term services and supports.
