Burnsville Couple Charged After Police Discover Heroin In Home

Authorities searched their Burnsville home Monday and found nearly 300 grams of heroin and $197,000 in cash.

BURNSVILLE, MN — A Burnsville couple is facing felony charges after police seized nearly 300 grams of heroin and $197,000 cash from their home, according to reports.

Kevin Termell Green, 35, and Minnie Kokiesha Loyd, 34, are both facing felony first-degree possession of a controlled substance charges. Green was charged with an additional first-degree felony count for having a prior conviction, the Pioneer Press reported.

Authorities conducted a search warrant Monday morning at a Burnsville residence rented by Loyd. During the search, they located packaged bags of heroin, the cash, a scale and materials for packaging, a safe and mock body armor.

Green's criminal history includes a 2007 federal conviction for conspiracy to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin, KARE-TV reported. He was discharged from his sentence in 2018.
