BURNSVILLE, MN — The Burnsville Fire Department is bidding a nostalgic goodbye to its Fire Station 1 with a two-hour open house Saturday morning.

Just before BFD moves to its new 44,000-square foot home on Newton Avenue, it is inviting the public for one last hurrah at its current station at 911 W. 140th Street.

From 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, the public will be able to meet firefighters, fire chiefs, and paramedics, tour fire engines and ambulances, experience kitchen safety demonstrations, and learn all about fire safety.
