Burnsville Man Hit, Killed Friday Morning In Brooklyn Park: Cops
A 32-year-old Burnsville man was struck and killed early Friday morning while he was walking on Highway 610.
BURNSVILLE, MN — A Burnsville man was struck and killed early Friday morning on Highway 610 in Brooklyn Park, according to state and local police.
Officers responded at 2:27 a.m. Friday to a report of a person who appeared dead at Highway 610 and Zane Avenue North, according to CBS4 News. Officers located the deceased man in the westbound lane of the highway.
The 32-year-old pedestrian was struck by a Chevy Equinox traveling westbound on Highway 610 near Zane Avenue, according to a police report. The man was traveling in the center of the right lane.

The driver, a 39-year-old man from Minneapolis, stopped and remained on scene to speak with officers, police told CBS News.
Information on the victim’s identity will be released Saturday at 9 a.m., according to the police report.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the incident. Authorities closed the westbound lane of Highway 610 to investigate, causing major traffic backups Friday morning.
The incident occurs just days after two men were killed in a crash on Highway 13 in Burnsville. On Tuesday morning, a Honda Accord was hit by a semi truck traveling westbound, killing both passengers inside.
