Crash Involving Semi Kills Woman In Southwest Metro

The collision killed a 20-year-old from Shakopee.

CARVER COUNTY, MN — A 20-year-old Shakopee woman died Monday morning after her car was hit by a semi while was trying to cross a highway.

Authorities say Amanda Nicole Green was traveling north on Carver County Road 51, stopped at the stop sign, then proceeded through the intersection where she was struck by a Mack semi going west on Highway 212.

Green died at the scene. She was not wearing her seat belt, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The semi driver suffered minor injuries.
