5-2-1-0 FREE Event for Kids: Reading Activity with Local Children's Author, Gordon Fredrickson

Enjoy a free reading a presentation from local children's author, Gordon Fredrickson.

This activity helps support the 5-2-1-0  healthy theme of 2 hours or less of screen time each day.*

The presentation will include props from the farm, a prologue, and a reading of the book, If I Were a Farmer, Tommy's Adventure. During the performance the author wears the traditional costume of a farmer in 1950 as he recites one of his books and tells other stories. The performances are geared to the age of the specific audiences and are meant to entertain, teach, and inspire all ages.

*Get your kids on a healthy track this summer with FREE 5-2-1-0 events starting June 25-July 20! This summer program engages your kids, ages 3-11 yrs, in four weeks of healthy activities.  All activities reinforce the program's healthy themes of eating five fruits and vegetables a day, limiting screen time to two hours, getting one hour of exercise, and drinking zero sugary drinks. Kids will receive a coupon for a FREE piece of fruit each week from our wellness department and a chart to track their progress. At the end of the four weeks, turn in your completed chart in our wellness department and you will receive a prize!
