Burnsville Man Masturbated In Public: Police

CLEARWATER, FL — A Minnesota man is spending his vacation in Florida's Pinellas County jail after being arrested multiple times for masturbating in public. Jason Bradly Tietz, 47, of Burnsville was first arrested on Jan. 8.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said he walked out of his room at Hotel Zamora without clothes, got on the elevator and went up to the roof where he proceeded to masturbate in front of a hotel employee.

Tietz bonded out of jail the next day but was back in handcuffs three days later. According to Clearwater Police, Tietz began masturbating in front of guests at the Hyatt Hotel and the Barefoot Beach House on Clearwater Beach.

Police say Tietz went into a cabana at the Barefoot Beach House that he hadn't paid for and proceeded to masturbate. When three women complained to the management, an employee tried to hold him for police. Tietz reportedly ran away and hid in the parking garage at the Wyndham Grand Hotel.

When the employee followed him into the garage, police say Tietz punched him in the face.

Tietz was eventually taken into custody and charged with five counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition, assault, child abuse, providing a false name, resisting an officer and trespassing.

Police say Tietz has a history of lewd activity. He was arrested a few months ago in North Dakota for indecent exposure.

He is being held on a $55,000 bond.
