Former Talk Show Host Jason Lewis Wins GOP Primary
Lewis will now campaign in a tight race against Democratic nominee Angie Craig in Minnesota's 2nd Congressional District.

Former conservative radio talk show host Jason Lewis is now the Republican nominee in the race for Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District.
Lewis defeated three GOP rivals including businesswoman Darlene Miller, who received the endorsement of outgoing incumbent Rep. John Kline.

He will now face Democratic nominee Angie Craig in the general election. Craig, who received the Democratic nomination in January, has a large advantage over Lewis in fundraising and time spent on the campaign trail.
Analysts believe the race between Craig and Lewis will be close. According to Roll Call, Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District is crucial to deciding which party will control the U.S. House after the November election.
