FREE Weight Loss Workshop: Stop turning to food for emotional support

Ashlee Secord is a mental health professional that addresses the reasons we binge, closet, mindlessly eat in her FREE September workshops.

Weight Loss Workshop:
Stop turning to food for emotional support

We spend too much time looking in the mirror, on the scale and allow what we see to determine our worth. “If I weighed less I could be (loveable, worthwhile, successful)” We go to gyms, hire personal trainers, buy books on the latest diet, join groups without assessing why we turn to food in the first place, that is, how we think and feel about ourselves.

Join Ashlee Secord, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, for her free Weight Loss Workshop at Thrive Therapy. Having lost 100 pounds over the last 8 years, she is personally familiar with the struggles of emotional over-eating, obesity and the obstacles that come up when trying to lose weight. Her workshop connects her vocation and experience to provide a place where emotional eating can be understood without judgment.

The workshop runs about 1.5 hours long, depending on the group. Please bring pen and paper and note that child care is not provided. Men and women are welcome to attend.
