Help Clean Up Burnsville: Volunteers Needed
Environmental stewards, garbage busters, and others are invited to help clean up the Minnesota River Greenway in Burnsville in June.
Environmental stewards, garbage busters and those just looking to get outside for an afternoon are invited to help clean-up the Minnesota River Greenway prior to its grand opening on June 3. Participants can enjoy an afternoon down by the river to help prepare the greenway for the season.
Volunteers will be cleaning up the shoreline, as well as the bike path between the Interstate 35W bridge and Cedar Avenue bridge, according to a news release. Supplies will be provided.
Volunteers are asked to commit three hours of their time. The task may involve varying amounts of activity (long walks, rough terrain and moderate physical exertion). Comfortable, sturdy shoes are recommended.
