Klobuchar Honors I-35W Bridge Collapse Victims On Senate Floor: Watch

In the three days immediately following the tragic collapse of the Interstate 35W bridge, Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar and former Sen. Norm Coleman led the bipartisan effort in the Senate to secure $250 million in emergency bridge reconstruction funding. Late Rep. Jim Oberstar, a Democrat who represented northern Minnesota, led the effort in the House

Ten years later, on the Senate floor, Klobuchar again action to address the nation’s infrastructure needs Klobuchar and Sen. Al Franken also introduced a Senate resolution to commemorate the anniversary Tuesday.
