NAMIWalks is a 5K walk to increase public awareness of mental illnesses, fight stigma, and raise funds for NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness). NAMI provides educational classes and support groups, and advocates for better mental health services. The walk will be held Saturday, September 26, at 1:00 pm, at Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis and at the Community Technical College in Rochester. Over 200 walk teams and more than 4,000 people from all around the state are expected to participate.
