Planet Fitness, the innovative health club franchise known for its Judgement Free Zone® and affordable prices, today announced the opening of two new clubs in Twin Cities, in Coon Rapids at 60 Coon Rapids Blvd. NW, located next to the Michaels in the Northtown Village, and in Burnsville across from Macy’s at the Burnsville Center, at 14250 Burnhaven Drive.
Additionally, now through March 31, members can join for just $1 down and then $10 a month with no commitment. Planet Fitness prides itself on offering extremely affordable memberships and a unique Judgement Free Zone® unlike any other gym, where members experience a hassle-free, non-intimidating environment. Each club also features the brand’s iconic “Lunk Alarm” – a purple and yellow siren on the wall used to gently remind people that grunting, dropping weights or judging others is not permitted.
The new Coon Rapids club is in the former Bed Bath & Beyond building which was renovated and transformed into a 25,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. The new Burnsville club was formally the Ultimate Electronics and is now a 22,000 square foot state-of–the-art facility.

Both clubs will offer brand new cardio machines, new fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, massage chairs, full size flat screen televisions, a 30-minute express circuit and 12 minute ab-circuit, Hydro-massage beds, tanning booths and beds and Total Body Enhancement booths. These clubs will also be open and staffed 24 hours, seven days a week.
Membership includes a variety of other benefits, including unlimited small group fitness instruction by a certified trainer through the pe @ pf ® program. In addition, as a member appreciation gesture, Planet Fitness provides free pizza on the first Monday of every month, and free bagels on the second Tuesday of every month, while supplies last.

For $19.99 a month, this premium membership includes access to all clubs in the Planet Fitness chain (more than 750), as well as use of massage chairs, Hydro-massage beds and Total Body enhancement booths, tanning, 50 percent off all cooler drinks, and the opportunity to bring a guest every day at no additional charge.
