President Trump Taps Dakota County Judge For US Attorney Of Minn.

Erica MacDonald was appointed as a judge by Gov. Tim Pawlenty in 2010.

President Donald Trump has formally nominated Erica MacDonald to be the next United States Attorney for Minnesota. Appointed by Gov. Tim Pawlenty in 2010, MacDonald currently serves as a Dakota County District Judge.

Prior to her judicial appointment, MacDonald served eight years as an assistant U.S. attorney in Minnesota, prosecuting cases involving violent crimes, narcotics, firearms, human trafficking, and child pornography.

MacDonald earned her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.
