Primary Election Narrows City Council Field to Four
The Burnsville City Council, which is elected at-large, has two seats up for election in November.

Tuesday's primary election has narrowed the field for two open Burnsville City Council seats from eight to four.
The Burnsville City Council, which is elected at-large, has two seats up for election in November.
Incumbent Council Members Mary Sherry and Suzanne Nguyen are not running for reelection, according to a news release.

A total of 3,118 Burnsville residents voted in the primary election – just under nine percent of Burnsville's eligible voters.
The mayoral seat is also up for election. Incumbent Mayor Elizabeth Kautz is running unopposed.
