Savage Man In Pickup Drives Over Camaro, Kills Man: MSP

The Minnesota State Patrol reports that the driver of a Camero was killed after a Ford pickup truck drove over him on Highway 169.

BLOOMINGTON, MN — A Bloomington man is dead after two-vehicle crash on Highway 169, a half mile south of Interstate 494. The collision occurred at 6:19 p.m. Thursday.

According to Hennepin County documents, the pickup driver, a 33-year-old male from Savage, was arrested on suspicion of criminal vehicular homicide.

A 2002 Chevrolet Camaro and a 2017 Ford F-350 Superduty were both southbound on Highway 169 south of Interstate 494. Authorities state that as the Camaro was decelerating on the right shoulder, the Superduty was approaching the Camaro from behind and veered onto the right shoulder.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the Superduty then made contact with the rear of the Camaro and continued to drive over the Camaro. The Superduty then overturned and came to rest on its roof in the right ditch. The Camaro came to rest facing northbound in the right ditch.

The driver of the Camaro, Travis John Krautkremer, age 28, of Bloomington, died at the scene.
