12-Hour Standoff At Burnsville Costco Ends Peacefully
The incident involved a report of an armed, suicidal man, according to police.

BURNSVILLE, MN — A standoff in the parking lot of the Burnsville Costco ended peacefully Thursday morning after 12 hours of negotiations.
Officers responded to a call around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday reporting an armed, suicidal man in a vehicle, police told KSTP.
The store at Burnhaven and McAndrews was evacuated and authorities asked residents to stay out of the area.

Just after 5 a.m. Thursday, police reported that "the incident has been resolved peacefully." The roads are now open and there is no threat to the community, authorities said.
