A 16-year-old is dead after a collision on Highway 52. Authorities say she was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Six people suffered injuries and one person died in Dakota County Friday when two cars collided on Highway 52. One teenager, age 16, died in the crash. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, she was not wearing her seatbelt.
Authorities say the accident occurred when the driver of a Toyota Corolla, traveling northbound on Highway 52, lost control and went onto the shoulder before over-correcting and going across all lanes. The Toyota Corolla then collided head on with a Kia Sole that was traveling southbound on Highway 52, causing the Toyota Corolla to roll and passengers to be ejected.
Four passengers in the Toyota Corolla, all teenagers, were injured, including 16-year-old Ahmed Sahra, who died.
