Upgrades to Burnsville Skate Park Complete

The project added 6,750 square feet to the existing park and new features including an upper deck and a bowl. ​

The Burnsville Skate Park has re-opened with new amenities for people of all ages on skateboards, bikes, rollerblades, skates and scooters.

The park was closed from mid-May through mid-August for construction of Phase II enhancements, according to a news release.

The project added 6,750 square feet to the existing park and new features including an upper deck and a bowl.

The design is meant to seamlessly integrate with Phase I updates, which were completed in 2012.

The new additions are intended to make the Burnsville Skate Park a well-rounded park that accommodates all types of skaters at all ages and levels of ability.

The park is located at 251 Civic Center Pkwy. A grand re-opening celebration is currently being planned for Saturday, Sept. 17.
