Why Doesn't Burnsville Declare Snow Emergencies?
If you're new to Burnsville, you might not be familiar with the city's winter parking rules.

BURNSVILLE, MN — If you recently moved to Burnsville, you may not know the city does not declare snow emergencies. Not now, not ever.
City officials tell residents there's no need to worry if you're parked on the correct side of the street or if there's been enough snow for a snow emergency to be declared. Instead, on-street parking is prohibited all year long in Burnsville between 2-6 a.m. daily.
Authorities say the parking ban helps create more space for fire trucks, ambulances, police vehicles and snow plows to get through and to prevent accidents by removing obstacles.
