• 61-Year-Old Pine Island Woman Injured in Collision at Byron Intersection (krocnews.com) — A Pine Island woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a Ford Bronco and pickup collided Monday night at Highway 14 and County Road 5 in Byron. State Patrol reports everyone was buckled, alcohol was not involved, and the other two occupants were uninjured, though investigators haven’t said what the traffic light showed at the time. 
• Fatal Hwy. 14 Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of 83-Year-Old Byron Man (krocnews.com) — An 83-year-old man from Byron was killed Sunday afternoon when his westbound motorcycle left a wet stretch of Hwy. 14 just east of Owatonna, according to the State Patrol. He was the only person involved and died at the scene; authorities say he was wearing a helmet and alcohol was not a factor. Multiple Steele County and Owatonna emergency agencies assisted at the crash.
• Freshman tosses historic no-hitter to lead Byron to state quarterfinal victory (postbulletin.com) — Byron softball fans have plenty to cheer about after freshman pitcher Caliegh Barrone threw the first no-hitter at the state tournament since 2019, leading the Bears to a 5–0 quarterfinal win over Simley. With strong hitting from teammates like Tallie Behrens and Kaydence Fjerstad, Byron advances to a Class 3A semifinal at Caswell Park on Wednesday afternoon.
