• Southern Minnesota crop insurance agents push USDA for later premium due date (agweek.com) — A Cannon Falls farmer and crop insurance agent is helping lead a push to move federal crop insurance premium due dates later in the fall, when grain checks actually arrive. At a Faribault roundtable with USDA officials and Rep. Brad Finstad, southern Minnesota farmers also urged changes to large-claim audits, arguing current rules don't reflect today's farm sizes and coverage levels.
