• Minnesota men's hockey names its captains for 2026-27 season (on3.com subscription) — Chaska hockey fans will see one of their own leading the Gophers next season, as 20-year-old right winger Brodie Ziemer has been named captain of the Minnesota men’s hockey team. Coming off a breakout sophomore year and All-Big Ten honors, he’ll be joined by assistant captains LJ Mooney and Minnetonka defenseman John Whipple for the 2026-27 campaign.
