I can’t believe this will be the last Blog I will write as an Eagan Funfest Ambassador. It’s crazy how fast time has passed this year. When people said that this year will fly by I didn’t realize how true it actually was. I feel like I was just crowned an ambassador yesterday! And in only a couple short months I will be handing over my crown to another beautiful young lady.
This experience has taught me a lot. You would not believe the amount of confidence that has grown in me these past 10 months. I feel like I have grown up so much throughout this process. And even though it was only a year I feel like I have changed tremendously. In the way I act and the way I talk and the way I present myself. I am not a shy young girl anymore. I am an older confident woman.
The events this year have been nothing shy of spectacular. I just finished my last event at Holz Farm this past weekend. I have seen all the seasons at Holz Farm. I saw it in the fall when the leaves were starting to change color. I was there when there was a thick blanket of snow covering the ground. And lastly I was there when the flowers were starting to bud and the sun was shining high. The best thing about Holz farm was seeing all the happy, smiling faces. Everyone was there to have a good time and enjoy some good food and great activities for the little kids. The little kids adored the Pony Rides and the line was always never ending. It was so rewarding to see the little kids face light up as you helped them with an activity. I will never forget my memories at Holz Farm, they were the best memories I’ve had.

The parades have by far been the most exciting. Riding on a float waving to all the young girls and boys. Seeing the little girls faces light up as we drove by. Screaming to their moms and dads “Look at those Princesses”. It was awesome to meet new royalty from other cities and make new friends. The Royalty from the other cities were always the nicest of girls and really knew how to make your day just so much better. Everyone was always in high spirits and not ever sad. It really felt good to be around such positive people all the time.
Lastly I will NEVER forget my fellow ambassador sisters. They were the best Ambassadors ever. They knew how to cheer me up when I was down. They knew how to make me laugh when I was sad. And they knew how to put a smile on my face when I was frowning. These girls are more than friends to me they’re my sisters. No words can describe the bond we have together. When one of us is missing it just doesn’t feel right. We all connected the first time we were all together. I would do anything for these girls. I always talk to them about everything and they always listen. I know this year wouldn’t have been as memorable without them by my side. I love these girls more than anything and I am going to be so sad when we depart ways.

So as I am ending my last blog as a 2013-2014 Eagan Funfest Ambassador. I just want to thank everyone who has stood by my side through this long road. Sure the road has had its turns and hills along the way but at the end of the day I would travel that road a billion more times. So Thank You for making this year the best year for me!
Love,
Ashlyn King
