Bring us your piles of paper
Do you have a pile of papers you need to toss but don’t want to risk sharing private information? Advent United Methodist Church in Eagan will have a free document-shredding event at 3945 Lexington Avenue South this Saturday, Aug. 23. You bring it, we’ll shred it.
Documents will be shredded by Veteran Shredding, a firm dedicated to keeping your business confidential. The event starts at 10 a.m. and lasts until noon. Veteran Shredding recommends bringing only 2 boxes or 2 garbage bags per person. Paper shredding only - no trash, garbage, clothing or metal items. Personal items only. No businesses please.

This is in conjunction with Advent Cares, a day of service when more than 100 volunteers from Advent will be working with local organizations to do everything from landscaping to washing windows, packing pet food and leading worship services. Advent UMC is giving back to the community it calls “home.”
So conquer that mountain of paper. Bring it to Advent United Methodist Church, 3945 Lexington Ave. S. on Saturday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. to noon.
