In honor of local nonprofit Cheerful Givers’ 20th birthday, Governor Dayton has proclaimed March 29, 2014 as “Cheerful Givers Day” throughout Minnesota. To celebrate, Cheerful Givers will host the Great Minnesota Birthday Party at the Mall of America.
Aiming to raise $20,000, Cheerful Givers hopes to spread awareness of the need for all kids to be recognized with a gift on their birthday.
The celebration will include special guests including former MN Viking Matt Blair, Miss Minnesota 2013 and Miss Minnesota’s Outstanding Teen. Guests will also enjoy traditional folkdances from Partnership Academy Kids, photos with Nickelodeon Universe characters, prize drawings, mini-Cinnabon samples and more.
