Closing the loop

Dakota County plans ramp/loop closures starting Monday

Dakota County will close several ramps/loops at the Trunk Highway 13 and I-35W interchange starting Monday, June 23, as part of the County Road 5/Trunk Highway 13 interchange project.

The south half of Trunk Highway 13 has been closed since April between Washburn Avenue and I-35W. Starting Monday, that closure will extend approximately 1,000 feet east of the bridge over I-35W to allow for replacement of the existing concrete pavement. The closure of the extra 1,000 feet is expected to last about one month. During this time, the following ramps/loops will be closed:

• Northbound Trunk Highway 13 ramp to southbound I-35W
• Northbound Trunk Highway 13 loop to northbound I-35W
• Southbound I-35W loop to northbound Trunk Highway 13
